The Department of Engineering within the School of Engineering, Mathematics and Science is seeking qualified applicants with broad expertise in the field of Software Engineering, with teaching and research interests in all areas of Software Engineering including Requirements Engineering, Software Development Process Models, Software Design Models, Software Construction, Software Quality Assurance, and Software Project Management. In addition, strong experience in Distributed Systems, Programming Languages, Software Architecture, Computer Architecture and Organization, Data Structures, and Design and Analysis of Algorithms is required.
Candidates are expected to pursue a program of research in their fields of expertise, seek funded research and publish in peer-reviewed journals, and display a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching in an educational program that emphasizes experiential learning. The successful candidate will have also demonstrated significant oral and written communication skills necessary for interdisciplinary collaboration with colleagues in Engineering, Mathematics and Science.

Candidates should have an earned Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a closely related discipline. The preferred candidate will have a strong and versatile research record, previous teaching experience, industrial experience and the ability to teach in multiple areas. In addition experience in teaching graduate level courses and supervising graduate students’ research is a plus.
