The Department Computer Information Systems (CIS) within the School of Informatics, Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking qualified applicants for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor with expertise in one or more of the following areas: cybersecurity, data science, cloud computing, web and mobile systems, and/or mainframe systems. The successful candidate would teach in CIS degree programs. Anticipated start date is Spring 2021 and dependent upon final budgetary approval.
Teach on-ground and online courses at the undergraduate and graduate level; conduct research in area(s) of expertise; participate in student advising, department meetings, and service opportunities; participate in departmental outcomes assessment as needed for program and university accreditations.
Candidates must have an earned Ph.D., D.Sc., or other terminal degree in the field of computer science, information systems, information technology, or a closely related field. Candidates must have teaching experience and a record of ongoing research. Experience in academic administration is preferred. Candidates should submit a CV, cover letter and statement of teaching philosophy.
