The Department of Engineering at Robert Morris University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position, starting fall 2020 term. Qualified candidates are sought in Engineering Management with teaching and research interest in the Project Engineering/Management, Financial Analysis/Cost Estimation, System Analysis, Technology Management, Strategic Planning, Global Engineering Management, Lean Manufacturing, Safety/Health/Environmental Management, Service Systems, and Experimental Methods.
Candidates are expected to pursue a program of research in their fields of expertise, seek
funded research and publish in peer-reviewed journals, and display a strong commitment to excellence in graduate teaching in an educational program that emphasizes experiential learning. The successful candidate will have also demonstrated significant oral and written communication skills necessary for interdisciplinary collaboration with colleagues in
Engineering, Mathematics and Science.
Applications should have appropriate qualifications to work in the US and include a cover letter, a Curriculum Vitae with a list of publications, a one-page statement each of research vision and teaching philosophy, and the names and e-mail addresses of three professional references who are prepared to provide a confidential reference letter.
Reporting to the Head of Engineering Department, the faculty is a responsible managing MS in Engineering Management Program. Additionally, the faculty will manage his/her own responsibility.
The Faculty will provide professional-level management with primary responsibility for MS in Engineering Management Program including, but may not be limited to, student advising, recruiting activity and developing relationship with employer.
Assistant Professor rank with an earned Ph.D. in Engineering Management or closely related discipline is required. Experience/knowledge in healthcare management, and the ability to teach in multiple areas will be preferred.
