Overview:
The Department of Management within the Rockwell School of Business is seeking qualified applicants for a tenure track position in Management (Organizational Behavior) beginning in Fall, 2023 at the Assistant Professor level. Candidates must have a demonstrated record of quality teaching at the university level in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, or a related field. A secondary area in business analytics and/or international business is desirable. The Rockwell School of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The review of applications will begin on or about November 10th, 2022 and will continue until a candidate has been selected for hire.
Responsibilities:
Prepares and delivers lectures on Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, and related topics in the School's graduate and undergraduate programs. Conducts scholarly research in his/her/their disciplines. Provides services to the university community. Prepares course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts for each course; Evaluates and grades students' class work, assignments and papers; Compiles, administers and grades examinations, or assigns this work to others; Keeps abreast of developments in their field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences; Initiates, facilitates and moderates classroom discussions; Maintains regularly scheduled office hours in order to advise and assist students; Selects and obtains materials and supplies such as textbooks; Plans and evaluates and revises curricula, course content, and course materials and methods of instruction; Perform academic research; Serve on academic committees at either the department, school, university or externally.
Minimum Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in Management (Organizational Behavior/ Human Resource Management) or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited institution. Candidates who are ABD may also be considered. Preference will be given to candidates who can also teach courses in Data Analytics and International Business. Applicants must demonstrate excellence in teaching as well as productivity in research in their discipline. The successful candidate must be qualified as a Scholarly Academic as defined by Robert Morris Rockwell School of Business.
