Part-Time Early Childhood Education Instructor

Overview:
Robert Morris University is seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable part-time adjunct faculty to instruct undergraduate courses within our Early Learning program. We are looking for individuals with expertise in early childhood development, education, and best practices, who are committed to preparing future early childhood professionals.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include: Teaching assigned undergraduate Early Learning course(s), aligning with program curriculum and learning outcomes. Potential courses may include child development, curriculum development, inclusive practices, assessment in early childhood, and related topics. Develop and implement engaging pedagogical approaches, including hands-on activities, discussions, and technology integration. Assess student learning through varied methods such as observations, lesson planning assignments, projects, and presentations. Adhere to university and program policies and ethical standards in early childhood education.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Masters degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field is required; a Doctoral degree is preferred. Significant professional experience in early childhood settings (e.g., preschool, kindergarten, early intervention). Strong understanding of child development theories, developmentally appropriate practices, and early learning standards. Knowledge of Pennsylvania's early learning standards and regulations is a plus.
