Title IX Coordinator/Ombuds Title IX Administration Moon Campus
This position, reporting to the CHRO, is responsible for (a) conducting intake and other meetings with individuals who bring a complaint or other information to the Title IX/Ombuds Office (b) engaging in case management (c) the smooth and effective functioning of the Title IX/Ombuds Office, including ensuring that the tracking, calendaring and administrative tasks for the Title IX Office are completed; and (d) investigating Title IX, student equity, and other student complaints. The Title IX Coordinator/Ombuds will also serve as the educational liaison to create, lead, coordinate, grow, strengthen, assess and evaluate RMU’s Title IX- and student equity related educational activities. Priority initiatives include (but are not limited to) RMU’s Title IX, Ombuds and student equity compliance related efforts and its program related research, assessment and evaluation efforts.
Dyslexia Outreach Support Specialist Education Moon Campus
The Dyslexia Outreach Support Specialist, reporting to the Department Head of Education serves as the main point of contact with public, private and parochial schools regarding teacher training in various structured reading methods offered by Robert Morris University (RMU). Partnering with the Peirce Center Director at RMU, the incumbent is responsible for identifying, developing and maintaining networking relationships. The Specialist will manage, monitor and report outreach activities with various external constituents offering reading teacher training supporting children with dyslexia, both in the classroom and as tutors. The successful incumbent will assist in data collection, maintain databases, update websites, benchmark outreach programs, and conduct professional presentations to various audiences.
Maintenance Worker IV - Plumber Facilities Maintenance Moon Campus
This position performs work under the direction of department management but with a high degree of initiative and independent judgement. This position’s primary expertise will be in plumbing/mechanical maintenance, installations, and design and will act as lead on all Robert Morris University plumbing system projects. This position ensures that all plumbing systems are properly maintained and are in proper operating condition. Work is performed under the general supervision of the department management. Maintenance coverage is 24/7 – 365 days/year and overtime may be necessary to accomplish work assignments and/or shift coverage. Vacations (PTO) approval may be limited during peak activity periods. This position may be required to work as scheduled during University closings.
Pre/Student Teacher University Supervisor Education Moon Campus
The university supervisor will individually observe, evaluate, and conference with each pre-student teacher and/or student teacher, and serve in a bridging role between the classroom and the university setting.
Trees Network Outreach Support Specialist Education Moon Campus
The RMU Trees Network Outreach Support Specialist, reporting to the department head of Education, serves as one of the points of contact with public, private, parochial, and special schools, parent groups, families, and community based agencies. Partnering with the Network Director (Special Education Endowed Professor), the incumbent is responsible for identifying, developing, and maintaining networking relationships. The Outreach Support Specialist will manage, monitor, and report on outreach activities.
Assistant Director, Media Relations Athletics Media Relations Moon Campus
The Assistant Director, Media Relations will assist with the creation and implementation of overall design strategy across all aspects of the athletic department and is responsible for oversight of all media relations functions for assigned sports, within the guidelines, rules, and regulations of the University and NCAA.
Rooney International Visiting Scholar Center for Global Engagement Moon Campus
OPPORTUNITY The Rooney International Visiting Scholar Program offers international scholars the opportunity to spend a semester in residence at Robert Morris University pursuing research, and/ or teaching while interacting with faculty, staff, and students. Literacy Tutor, Structured Literacy Education Moon Campus
The Structured Literacy Tutor will work directly with children in grades K-12 that are referred to the Center for reading and/or writing tutoring. The Tutor will conduct screenings on all incoming students to determine instructional needs, plan developmentally appropriate instruction based on data, conduct progress monitoring, communicate with parents, and administer all post assessments with clients. The Tutor is responsible for all parent communication and preparation of materials associated with tutoring sessions. The Tutor will keep accurate and timely time sheets and attendance records. Frequent meetings with the Coordinator of the Center will be essential to ensure all students are being serviced properly. This position is partially funded by non-university funds. Position continuation is contingent upon grant renewal or procurement of additional funding sources. This is a part-time position not eligible for University benefits. Work hours are limited to 950 per calendar year and less than 29 hours per week on a regular basis.
