The Business Intelligence Developer provides technical and analytical support through the development, maintenance, and enhancement of reports, dashboards, and data processes using SQL, PL/SQL, and enterprise reporting platforms such as Argos. This role is essential in supporting university-wide operations by ensuring timely, accurate, and accessible data to support decision-making across academic and administrative units. This role works closely with stakeholders to understand reporting needs, troubleshoot system and data issues, and support institutional processes in systems including Ellucian Banner, Slate CRM, and related systems. The position ensures compliance with data standards and promotes the effective use of institutional data across the organization.

• Reporting & Development Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using SQL/PLSQL and Argos (Evisions).
• Support ongoing data requests from departments by transforming business requirements into efficient queries and deliverables.
• Develop, test, and document PL/SQL procedures, packages, and scripts within the Ellucian Banner environment.
• Maintain data dictionaries, technical documentation, and version control for report logic and data definitions.
• System Support & Maintenance Provide technical support and system analysis for Ellucian Banner and related administrative applications.
• Troubleshoot data issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to improve system reliability.
• Participate in system upgrades, patching, and testing efforts.
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Analysis Partner with functional users across IT, Institutional Research, and other departments to understand business needs and identify opportunities for improved data delivery.
• Translate user requirements into technical solutions, ensuring accurate interpretation of business logic.
• Educate and support users in accessing and interpreting reports and data.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field required.
• Professional experience writing/coding SQL and PL/SQL.
• Familiarity with Ellucian Banner and/or other ERP systems.
• Experience with enterprise-level data reporting tools.
• Experience developing data-driven dashboards.
• Experience in higher education or similar complex, multi-departmental environments.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of FERPA, GDPR, and other data privacy regulations.
• Knowledge of data warehousing or ETL processes.
• The desire and ability to learn and apply new technology is required.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to customer service and continuous improvement.
