Overview:
The Social Media Ambassador is responsible for assisting the Social Media Coordinator in planning and executing the University’s social media strategy, working across key channels including Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Snapchat. This role offers the opportunity to create engaging and compelling content that will be shared on the University’s main social media channels.
Responsibilities:
• Attend student and other campus events to capture photos and/or video to use across social channels
• Organize and add to master calendar to keep up with all upcoming RMU happenings
• Think up ideas for content, especially for TikTok & Instagram Reels, based on current trends and campus events
• Write compelling stories on alumni, faculty and students
Minimum Qualifications:
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects) a bonus
• Knowledge of how to operate a DSLR camera for photography and videography
• Up to date on social media trends
